Pastor

Vineyard Church Dungannon

The church:

Vineyard Church Dungannon (VCD) is a thriving, missional community in Northern Ireland with around 100 people attending weekly. As a Church in the heart of a multi-national, multi-generational mid-ulster town, we are a place where lives are being changed, people are saying ‘yes’ to God and experiencing life in a fresh way.

Alongside our Sunday Gatherings we have kids and youth ministries as well as mid-week ‘community’ groups. We also host Dungannon Foodbank which helps over 60 families on a weekly basis and helps us serve and show Jesus to the most vulnerable in our community.

Job role:

We are seeking to employ a full-time Pastor who shares our heart to see a healthy church thrive and a town transformed through the power and love of Jesus. The Pastor will work as part of a Senior Leadership Team to plan and deliver activities and programmes which are aimed at caring for people, introducing them to Jesus and seeing them grow in the faith.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a church or similar organisation, with an understanding of the unique communities we have in Northern Ireland. They must embrace our mission of building a generous, hospitable, supernatural church; helping us to remain inwardly strong and outwardly focused.

Required abilities and qualifications

  • Someone who is pastoral, with a heart for caring for the most vulnerable in our community, willing to provide home visits where appropriate

  • A gifted speaker willing to lead our preaching team, helping teach and to expand their gifting

  • An evangelist who can help with town outreach and spreading the gospel throughout the town to people, businesses and other organisations

  • Someone who shares and can participate in the values of the Vineyard movement

  • Someone who is prepared to work collaboratively with a leadership team to develop and deliver strategic plans as well as day to day ministry

  • Someone who understands the importance of kids and youth ministry, and is willing to engage with and develop these ministries

  • Someone who can work in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, leading people into ministry time and helping to develop this gifting in others

  • Someone who is able to manage a varied workload

Desirable abilities and qualifications

  • Full driving licence and access to car

  • Prior pastoral experience inside a church or similar organisation

  • Prior theological training
