Church is more than a two-hour gathering on a Sunday. Church is not only a crowd seated in rows around a stage, but a Community sharing life around a table. VCD Community is a group of people who are a part of VCD, who gather every week to eat together, pray together, and practice the way of Jesus together.

HOW A VCD COMMUNITY LIVES
1) Practicing the Way of Jesus (Disciples)
What is a disciple? A disciple is an apprentice or student. In the case of being a disciple of Jesus, a disciple is someone who lives their life to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.
This is because the way of Jesus is not simply a set of beliefs, but a whole new way to live. In other words, a VCD community group is not a Bible study in which we are only trained to believe the right thing, or to simply think how Jesus thought. A VCD Community is a group of Disciples who want to live like Jesus lived.
2) Together- The dominant metaphor for the Church in the New Testament is Family
Eat Together: Every VCD Community shares a meal together every week.
Pray together: Every VCD Community prays together. There is something that God does when his children come together before him in prayer; we become family.
Share life together: Meeting together one night a week is great… but when Community starts to become a Monday-Friday, all the time, life-on-life, everyday relationship, that’s when the magic happens.
3) In Dungannon & Surrounding Areas (Missionaries)
As followers of Jesus in our town, we take a level of spiritual responsibility for the place in which we live. We are missionaries to our communities
In John 20, Jesus says, “as the father has sent (missio’d) me, even so I am sending (missio-ing) you.”
